Question and Answer

Question:

Hi Wil,

Was thinking of fishing McPhee Bay on Lake Simcoe this summer with my family, we would be using a pontoon boat....is this location very choppy?  Is there calm areas within this Bay? What would we be able to catch.....bass, pike?

Thank you

Tony

Answer:

Hi Tony.

I think it was you I was speaking with at work on the phone about this very subject so hopefully our conversation was helpful.  McPhee Bay can be one of the calmer bays if wind directions are from the east, north or south ... but if they're southwest or sometimes even northwest, this ay can really blow up ...Like most of Simcoe- there aren't a lot of places to get out of major wind events, so it's a lake we always have to have great respect for, regardless of what type of boat we are using.

Thanks and Tight Lines
