Fishing Lake Simcoe Seminar - Get a Better Understanding of this Lake to Catch More Fish This Season

Registration is filling up fast for the May 1st “Fishing Lake Simcoe” seminar in Bradford. The seminar, presented by the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and brought to you by Simcoe County Tourism is aimed at all those anglers or would-be anglers, who want to increase their success rates while fishing Lake Simcoe this spring, summer and fall.  Wil Wegman’s power point will focus on better understanding the top sportfish in the lake while Gerry Heels will dive into electronics and how you can utilize your sonar, GPS and digital charts to catch more fish this season.

Right now we are happy to share with you a sample of the draw prizes that will be awarded at the end of the evening.  There will be a variety of Rapala products – including caps, lures, Trigger X baits, a baitcasting rod and reel, Sufix Line and several spincast rod and reel outfits that will be earmarked for young anglers in attendance.  Additionally, Lowrance electronics has offered up an Elite 3x All Season Sonar unit – complete with both winter and summer transducers ... valued at about $300.

The seminar will run from 7-9:30 pm at the Bradford Community Centre on 125 Simcoe Road - beside the Bradford Curling Club. There is no admission fee for those who bring a supply of non perishable food items for the local Bradford Food Bank.
