The Aurora Bassmasters would like to invite anglers with a boat and working livewell to compete in their annual pike tournament on Lake Simcoe.  The open event will take place Sunday May 30,  2010 out of Pasadena Marina in Keswick on the pike filled waters of Cooks Bay.  Entry fee, payable beginning at 6am the morning of the event, is only $110 per team and includes "Big Fish" and launch at Pasedena.  The Heaviest three pike win the tournament and Payout will be 80% of entry fees.

May 3rd, 2010  -   Bassman Magazine editor Wil Wegman of Bradford ON has resigned from his position as editor. Wegman explained, "Since early 2009 I have had the privilege of being the editor of BassMan Magazine – Canada’s only all bass, all the time magazine.  Editing this quarterly publication allowed me to continue with my full time job at Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources yet offered me an incredible opportunity to learn a new side of the publication business in my ‘spare’ time.

In this ABC drama set to premier at 10pm on April 28,2010, residents of a small town set in Minnesota are all on edge by their first murder in seven years. The murder scene occurred in an ice fishing hut on a local lake. However that scene and many others did not occur in the US at all but on the frozen waters of Georgian Bay near Penetang, Ontario Canada.
