Lowrance 2011 x67c Ice Machine
Question and Answer
Question:
Hi Wil,
Really enjoyed your ice fishing seminar on Sat at RadioWorld on Lake Simcoe. It doesn’t matter how many times I hear it, I always pick up a new tip. So, This week’s question is around the new Lowrance 2011 x67c Ice Machine with the blue case and tackle box. Can I use my old open water transducer on it? Someone I spoke to wasn’t entirely sure.
Thanks
John
Answer:
Hi John,
It was good meeting you at RadioWorld.
So, I was pretty sure that you could use the same transducer, but I wanted to double check with Lawren Wetzel ... formerly a sonar guru with Lowrance Canada and now he’s one for RadioWorld. Here’s what he had to say:
“You can use the standard transom mount transducer with that unit. As long as the transducer part number has a “U” at the end it will work. There is a silver tag on the transducer near the plug that has the part number. The fixed mount transducer is HST-WSU and the suction cup transducer is PTT-WSU.
Hope that helps John,
Wil
Comments
Does Radioworld carry the unit with the new blue case and tackle boxes? Their website only shows the "grey bag" version. So far I have only been able to find it in the States but I'd much rather spend my $$ here.
Thank you very much,
Brent
Hi Wil
We do have those bags in stock right now. The part number for them is PPP-18i. They will only work with the Lowrance/Eagle units that use the uni-plug style connector (like what is on the X-67c). The HDS units that use the blue connector will not work. There is a Ice bag available for the HDS units PPP-16i, but it does not have the new style bag packed with it. It still uses the old grey bag. Also, you cannot buy the bag separately as it comes with the whole kit (transducer, batter, charger,
etc)
Thanks
Lawren
